I just didn't find it as useful as tools I'm more familiar with, i.e., original Control Panel (not "Windows Settings"), using services.msc directly, and/or, finally, the (in)famous "God Mode". I have it installed on my computer, but can't remember the last time I used it. I'm pretty sure when I go to update my computer there's going to be a major pile-up on the Information Highway, so I'm hoping this will make the process a little less traumatic.įinally, re: Group Policy Editor for Win 10 Home. But if you're brave and/or foolish like me, you might give it a look, again at MajorGeeks, with an accompanying video tutorial: I've downloaded it, but haven't actually tried it, so cannot recommend it. There's also another program to manually control/select which updates to install. I've been using it for quite some time, and haven't run into any serious problems yet. ![]() I've had a few programs permanently broken because of a bad update.
